We work with children and young people in close partnership with their mother/carers, to develop case plans that meet their individual goals and wishes. This program embeds the Childrenand Young Person’s Framework: Supporting families in domestic and family violence services (CYPFramework) (Gander 2015).We acknowledge children and young people’s resistance, strengths and coping strategies.
Our aim is to decrease risk factors and increase protective factors through Specialist DFV child centred case management. Our focus is to increase children’s connection with their family, kinship, community and culture, and support them to meet their educational, health and developmental milestones. Our Holiday & Activities Program assists children to strengthen their relationship with their mother/carer and siblings, and create happy memories.
